History
The founding partners of EJS Accounting Group came from other accounting firms and began practicing at 1661 Portage Avenue as Forrest & Company in 2004.
The founding partners of Forrest & Company were Gil Forrest, CPA, CGA, Marshall Forrest, CPA, CGA, Derek Patience, CPA, CGA and Ellard Schappert, CPA, CGA. In 2006, the partners constructed a building at 1911 Portage Avenue and moved to where the firm currently resides.
Gil Forrest retired in 2010 when the firm took on a new partner, Darryl Laycock, CPA, CGA. In 2012, the building was expanded to handle growth and shortly after that the firm took on an associate, Don Lindberg. In 2017, the firm re-branded and changed its name to EJS Accounting Group. In 2019, the firm added a new partner, Jeremy Schappert, CPA to their team. Later in 2019, brought the retirement of Marshall Forrest, CPA, CGA.
The current partners are Derek Patience, CPA, CGA, Darryl Laycock, CPA, CGA, Ellard Schappert, CPA, CGA, and Jeremy Schappert, CPA.
